IOSH Approved Training

CONTACT US

Musgrove and Ball have created the first training course in the UK on hidden addiction in the workplace and it’s been rubber stamped by IOSH!

We are an IOSH Approved Training Provider and we are now rolling out the course built by ourselves to help managers and leaders understand how to spot addiction in the workplace and how to approach someone who may be struggling.

We are changing the British Workplace in the same way mental health first awareness training changed the British workplace.
Musgrove and Ball are helping to remove the stigma around addiction by educating all organisations on different types of addiction, discussing topics like relapse and how to make work events less alcohol centric.

Our half day course is tailored to every individual business and their industry, giving key insights into the personalities in their work force and the health & safety risks to any employee who does come into work under the influence.

We help our clients create an open culture of trust where workers can reach out if they are struggling, and this is the logical next step after hearing our story across the business.

Delivering Our Training To Parkdean Resorts

Alcohol and Drug Awareness Training

34% of managers feel out of their depth supporting their team with mental health concerns and 51% of long-term sick leave is due to stress, depression and anxiety.

It is built into the culture in the UK that people use any occasion or reason to have a drink. We drink when we are celebrating, when we are stressed, when we are struggling, or when we’ve had a bad day.

Alcohol is a depressant and when we are using it negatively as a coping mechanism because our manager is stressing us out, our workload is too much or we are having problems at home, it impacts on our mental health, causing us to feel anxious and depressed.

We believe that by educating managers on how to spot the signs of addiction and getting employees to open up before their struggles get out of hand, that we can start to tackle the problem and build an open culture of trust in organisations.

Patrick delivered an excellent and thought-provoking session to our team. Challenging perceptions, changing thinking and motivating actions point to take away.

A vital tool on an important subject, in and out of the workplace.

In the workplace, this is an area not just left to employee relations at times of crisis - there's a huge role for DE&I, employee engagement, culture, mental health, physical health and wellbeing to step up to!

Definitely one for the DE&I and culture agenda!
